The right tool
for the right job

Five ways to work together — from individual therapy to neurofeedback. Every service is built around the same principle: figure out what your brain is actually doing, then build something that works with it.

This is the core work — understanding what's running under the hood, building the skills and strategies that actually fit your nervous system, and constructing a life that's sustainable and genuinely yours. We draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, narrative therapy, and neuroscience, using whatever combination makes the most sense for you. You set the direction. I bring the toolkit.

Relationships are hard enough without adding mismatched nervous systems, undiagnosed neurodivergence, or years of miscommunication that made perfect sense to one brain and none to the other. Couples therapy here is open to all — whether neurodivergence is front and center or not. We look at the patterns, understand what each person is actually trying to do, and build better ways of being in the room together.

Major life transitions

When one person in a family is struggling, the whole system feels it. Family therapy looks at the dynamics, the patterns, and the communication loops that keep everyone stuck — and builds something that works better for everyone in the room. Open to all families, whether or not neurodivergence is part of the picture.

Coaching is for people who don't need — or don't want — clinical therapy, but who do want help building something. No pathology, no diagnosis, no processing the past. Just skills, goals, and forward momentum. We figure out where you want to go, what's in the way, and what systems and strategies will actually work for your brain to get you there.

Note: Life coaching is not therapy and does not treat mental health conditions. It is not covered by insurance. If you're unsure whether coaching or therapy is the right fit, reach out — happy to help you figure it out.

Neurofeedback
Train the brain directly.

What it is
Neurofeedback is a non-medication approach that trains your brain to regulate itself more effectively. Sensors on your scalp read your brain's electrical activity in real time, and a computer gives your brain immediate feedback — teaching it to shift toward more stable, efficient patterns.
What it's for
There's strong research supporting neurofeedback for ADHD — including attention, impulsivity, and emotional regulation. It can also be helpful for anxiety, sleep difficulties, and stress responses. Think of it as physical therapy for your brain's regulation system.
01
Assessment
We start with a mini assessment to understand your brain's current activity patterns. If you've already had a QEEG (quantitative EEG brain map) done elsewhere, I can work directly from that report — no need to start from scratch.
02
Training sessions
Sessions involve sitting comfortably while sensors read your brain's activity. You'll watch or listen to something — when your brain hits the target pattern, it gets a signal. Gradually, your brain learns to spend more time there on its own.
03
Frequency & commitment
Neurofeedback works through repetition. A minimum of twice-weekly sessions is required, and a full course typically runs 30–40 sessions. Results build gradually — most people notice meaningful changes within the first 10–15 sessions.
04
The results
Unlike medication, the changes from neurofeedback tend to be lasting — you're training the brain itself, not managing symptoms with a substance. Results vary, but many clients report improved focus, reduced impulsivity, calmer baseline, and better sleep.
Good to know: Neurofeedback is available in-person at the Wales, WI office only and is not covered by insurance. It can be done as a standalone service or alongside individual therapy. If you're curious whether it's a good fit, mention it when you reach out.

Fees and Insurance

Getting the money part sorted shouldn't be a barrier

Here's how it works across services.

Insurance — therapy services

Individual, couples, and family therapy are covered by many major insurance plans. Reach out and I'll confirm yours — no insurance phone tree required on your end.

Self-pay options

Reduced-cost self-pay is available for therapy services. Life coaching and neurofeedback are self-pay only. If cost is a concern, say so — we'll figure out something workable. Access matters.

Not sure what you need?

Therapy vs. coaching vs. neurofeedback — it's not always obvious. The free 15-minute consult is a good place to figure it out together, with no pressure to commit to anything.

Not sure which service is right for you?

That's what the free consult is for. 15 minutes, no commitment, and I respond personally.
